Self catering accommodation in Tuscany.

The traditional and charming house is situated in Sommocolonia, which is in the heart of the Garfagnana National Park overlooking the Serchio Valley and the medieval walled town of Barga, in Tuscany.

Sommocolonia is a village of about 50 houses and 100 inhabitants.

It is perfect for visiting the many wonderful places in Tuscany and experiencing the art, food, music and architecture which make up the rich Italian culture.

Within easy reach are; Barga, Lucca, Siena, Florence and Pisa as well as Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio on the coast.

The house is furnished with local furniture and sleeps 5. The principal bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom a double and a single bed.

The sitting room has a traditional fireplace. You will also find a portable cd player for you to listen to music and a television and video player.

The kitchen is simply furnished and equipped with a cooker and fridge freezer. There is a washing machine in one of the cantine.

Both bedrooms enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and the valley below.

The terrace has the same wonderful views. Below it is a garden with a covered pergola to give you afternoon shade.

The living room has a lovely fireplace and is equipped with television and video player and also a cd player for you to listen to Puccini with your pasta in the evenings.

The kitchen is equipped with a cooker and fridge freezer. Here you will find a dining area. There is a washing machine in one of the cellars.

Off the kitchen is the balcony which has the same wonderful views.

Below it is garden terrace with a kiwi covered pergola to give you afternoon shade and kiwi fruits in the summer.

There is a small cellar room off the garden with a stove for summer barbeques.
